Personality: Nastia is incredibly stubborn and there isn't a force on Earth (even her family) that can make her do something she doesn't herself want to. She is fiercely loyal and protective over her friends, though that loyalty is hard to win. It takes a lot to upset her, but when she's angry she becomes bitchy, snarky, and extremely hostile (mainly with her words). Around her friends she is cheeky, playful and even a tad flirty, whereas around those she doesn't know she is more quiet and reserved. She is an introvert when she is allowed the chance; she loves nothing more than to relax at the end of an exhausting day with a good book or movie (or a good Xbox game). She can be a bit of a slob and often spends days off wandering around in her pjs if there is nowhere else she has to be. For the most part, Nastia is a total tomboy. Her wardrobe consists mainly of jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies, and she practically lives in leather jackets. However once in a blue moon, she enjoys getting dolled up and hitting the club with friends. She also can get addicted to things quite easily, whether it be gaming, music, things to do with riding, or more dangerous outlets.

History: Born in Moscow, Angel is the only daughter to a Russian mother and English  father. The two had met while studying at the same university and had fallen in love. She was studying to be a surgeon, he a lawyer. After they got married, they had Anastasia. The couple kept Natasha's surname since they were planning on staying in Russia and a Russian surname seemed like the easier option than an English one.

Nastia grew up cheerful and bouncy, with a insatiable curiosity and wanderlust. She wanted to travel, to see the world. The most she got was visiting her grandparents at their country home (dacha). Nastia loved it there. Her grandfather was like a replacement father to her, since her real father spent far too much time at work. He taught her many things: how to play guitar, play chess, how to ride horses. Her grandparents had taken in an injured mare and her foal, and the foal became Nastia's. As soon as the baby horse was old  enough, Dimitri taught her to ride. Her grandma taught her practical "grandma" things like baking, knitting and sewing. Nastia loved it all. Weekends with her grandparents became the highlight of her week.

At 7 she started school like all Russian children. She was a studious child and enjoyed it extremely. Her name was changed to Angela, for pronunciation purposes. On weekends she would go see Dimitri and Alyena, and would spend every holiday there. Her own parents were too busy with their work and Nastia began to learn how to look after herself. She became a  self-sufficient, independent and capable child. At 10, her family bought her a violin which she named Belochka (Squirrel, due to its colour). She loved the thing to bits and would spend every spare moment playing it. She took great care with it because she knew that if it broke, she would not be getting a replacement any time soon.

At 13, Natasha and Daniel split after she found out that he had had an affair. A year they got back together, mainly for Nastia's sake. During the separation period, Nastia lived with her mother  and refused to see her father on the weekends like she was supposed to. Instead she would go stay with her grandparents and spend her weekends riding and playing her guitar with Dimitri. When her parents moved back in together, Nastia was still extremely distrusting of her father. Though it took a long time, Daniel won his daughter over finally and things carried  on as normal. When Nastia was 16, Natasha found out that Daniel had cheated again with a co-worker of his. That was the final straw and she filed for divorce. When Nastia found out, she ran away from home and went to live with her grandparents. Trying to find an escape, she began to sneak drinks from the liquor cabinet and cigarettes from her grandma's purse but because it was only a couple of cigarettes and drinks a day (only enough to ease the emptiness and sadness that she felt inside), her grandparents didn't catch on. Several months later her mum came to take her back and a couple of weeks after Nastia had left, her horse got into an accident and had to be put down.

The girl completely lost it and went off the rails. She'd lost her only friend in the world and she just couldn't deal with it. She began staying out late, drinking and smoking. She befriended the wrong crowd at school who eventually got her hooked on uppers. Her grades began to suffer and she began to drink more, along with taking more and more uppers since they no longer seemed to work. Eventually, after an almost-overdose at 17, she went to live with her grandparents permanently. For the first several months, her grandparents refused to let her out of her sight. They would even sit watch until she fell asleep, just to make sure that she wasn't going to smoke or drink. After the first month, Alyena pulled some favours with a neighbour of theirs that kept horses and came home one evening with a handsome one-year-old gelding for her grand-daughter. Though Angel refused to go anywhere near him for the first week, eventually she began riding again. She named the horse Tenebrae (darkness in Latin), not only due to his coal-black colouring, but because he'd come after such a dark time in her life.

Her initial recovery period was spent just playing her violin or riding. Eventually she began to take an interest in other things as well and her grandparents began rejoicing when they saw Nastia's progress. To occupy her time she would enter horse competitions and several times entered a couple of talent shows. All the prize money she received went to Dimitri and Alyena as a way of saying thanks At 19 she decided that she wanted to go on a working holiday to Scotland. For the next year she worked at a fast-food restaurant saving all the money she earned from there for her tickets. During this time she began to see her mother more, meeting up for lunch or dinner when they had a chance. Finally, at 20, Nastia left for Scotland. Though it was hard to leave everyone behind, she knew she'd have to go or she'd end up regretting it.

She managed to get some work in a stable over there as a stable-hand. She was allowed to enter a competition on one of the school horses, and ended up winning the showjumping. She was later approached by a representative of the Lehigh Riding Academy and offered a spot there. She travelled over to the States, and after spending a couple of terms at the Academy, decided to move there permanently. Nastia's grandparents sold their country home and bought a house in the States, to be near their grand-daughter and Nastia visits them at least every second weekend. They brought her darling horse over too, who now lives at the stables at the Academy. Her mother has told her that she has plans for moving down there soon, and although Nastia is sceptical, at the back of her mind she would like that to happen.
