History: Tony was born in Boston and mainly grew up there, but getting to where he is today was nowhere near easy. Actually, 'easy' isn't even a word he'd let you use to describe his life. Home life was hard on him, and he never felt that he had a place in his home with his parents. As a result, Tony struggled in school quite often, especially when he got into middle and high school.
As he got older and started getting through high school, Tony started hanging out with the wrong crowd, and they influenced him to the point that he would often spend days not coming home, although he remained responsible enough to go to school.
The trouble was that Tony struggled with two sides of his life that rapidly started to show that he could only have one. On one hand, he wanted to stand up for everything his parents acted like he wasn't, and he wanted to prove the whole world wrong about him, but the bad influences of those that he had surrounded himself with had already left their mark, and that was soon literal just as much as it was physical.
Although never much of an actual gang, the group that Tony hung out with when he was younger did enough that that was what all involved parties called it. Even today, Tony still has a tattoo of a howling wolf on his left arm that became the group's symbol of identification. In all reality, they were simply a group of misunderstood and ill-loved kids that banded together over their similar situations. Some of them were more rowdy than the others, and their behavior influenced the whole group. That was how Tony wound up with an addiction.
Around nineteen or twenty years of age, the young male finally decided he'd had way more than his fair share of the trouble. He'd just managed to scrape together a graduation from high school, and he desperately wanted help to get on a better track than the one he'd put himself on by hanging with the wrong crowd. Thankfully, Tony was able to locate help through rehabilitation. Wanting to be rather certain that he was cleared from his past, Tony was in rehab for over a year in order to better help him stay clean then and in the future.
By the time he was about twenty-five, Tony had finished his years in rehab, and, with some help from people he met through his years in rehab, had a fresh slate to tackle the rest of his life with. With true intentions to stay on the clean track, Tony enlisted in the military and he served for five years.
After he finished his service time, Tony settled down in Lehigh Valley, looking for a fresh start in a place that would actually give him one. He wasn't looking for anything amazing. His goal was just something to pay the bills and keep him comfortable enough to live. He was soon living in a small home, an adopted orange cat named Sunny as his main friend and pretty much only companion besides Shasta, a Gypsy Vanner mare he adopted off of local neighbors who were moving out of the area and couldn't take the horse with them that were giving her away free to a good home, but he couldn't complain about his new life. Picking up work locally as a bartender, life was good enough for him, and that was all and more than he could've imagined asking for several years before that. It might not be a perfect life that he lives and leads, but it's good enough for him. He's had his second chance, and now he's simply trying to make the most out of it.
